National Water Company (NWC) is undertaking the construction of the Al-Ahsa sewage treatment plant in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. ETE Ready Mix has agreed with Al Ohadieh Co. for Contracting to supply 100,000 cubic meters of ready-mix concrete for the new structures.
The US$100 million project includes the following:
Construction of a sewage treatment plant with a capacity of 180,000 m³/day, construction of sludge storage tanks, construction of aeration tanks, installation of clarifiers, construction of effluent dosing tanks, construction of drainage beds, laying of pipelines, installation of pumps, and associated facilities.
Concrete is the backbone of the entire structure. From June until September 2019, a total of 20,000 cubic meters of ready-mix concrete were supplied for the foundations and supports.
