ETE Ready Mix & Cement Products has been appointed as the sole ready-mix concrete supplier for three of the six lines of Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Public Transit System, the largest public transportation project in the world.

ETE Ready Mix will collaborate with the FAST Consortium (comprising FCC, Samsung, Alstom, Strukton, and Freyssinet SA), which is responsible for building Metro Lines 4, 5, and 6, representing about 40% of the total track length.

FAST’s design-and-build package, awarded by the Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA), includes 22 stations, two depots, and seven Park-and-Ride car parks, with a total capital cost of approximately $7.8 billion. ETE Ready Mix will possess and operate six concrete batching plants at four stations in different locations of Riyadh City. The concrete supply by ETE Ready Mix will amount to around 1.6 million m³ (five times the amount of concrete used for Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest skyscraper) within a 30-month time frame.

ETE Ready Mix will deliver concrete for the project at elevated locations, at-grade sites, and deep underground stations.
