This national mandate inspired the ministry’s think-tank to organize the First Saudi Concrete Conference. Dr. Tawfiq Al Rabiah, Director of the National Subcommittee for Ready-Mix Concrete, organized the conference held last May in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al Khobar. The conference complements parallel activities that aspire to unite the sector in promoting technology, scientific research, and modernization in the field of concrete.
Various interesting and informative topics were presented by local and foreign keynote speakers who shared their professional experiences, skills, and knowledge during the event. These speakers represented reputable institutions, including King Saud University, the American Concrete Institute, the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association, and other international universities, institutions, and offices, whose participation helped the organizers achieve success.
ETE is a proud partner and co-sponsor of the 1st Saudi Concrete Conference.
The conference focused on collaborative discussions concerning the specifications for verifying durability and service life, best approaches for concrete durability and development, supplementary materials for durable concrete, and the process of conversion from normal concrete to durable concrete. More than 500 engineers, technicians, and experts attended the event with much enthusiasm due to the insightful speeches and interactive sessions.
It is a sound decision that ETE supports such a worthy endeavor that focuses on concrete enhancement. ETE was represented by Mr. Ertan Dokumacigil, ETE Ready Mix Executive Director, and Mr. Joao Diogo, Central Region Manager, who actively participated in the event. Eng.
